I’m Madison, that’s me there on the left. That beautiful woman on the right is my mom, Wendy!

Together, we founded Redbrick Editorial, an editing business built on the mission of helping indie authors like you take the next big step toward their self-publishing dreams.

I’m a published author too, so believe me, I know first hand how terrifying it is to hire an editor and hand over your story.

Your book baby is a piece of your heart and opening it up for critique and criticism is vulnerable! But we assure you, your heart and your book are safe with us! We believe in giving plenty of positive feedback as well as helpful critiques so you feel empowered to share your amazing story with the world!

My mom was the one who taught me to love stories, the first person to read any of my writing, and the woman who encouraged me to study writing in college. She has been invaluable in my journey to becoming a published author! She is my biggest cheerleader and now I’m gonna share her with you, too!

We are working to educate ourselves about the tropes and reader expectations for several genres to become more familiar with and appreciate the variety of work that comes our way.
  • We are always working to master feedback. We never want our feedback to feel demoralizing to you. We work daily to make sure that we are lifting our writers to feel more confident in their writing. We are your biggest cheerleaders!
  • We believe in our choice to work as freelance editors. Working as freelancers helps us control how much content we see each week which means we can give your work plenty of time and undivided attention. This helps us to be more efficient and personalized as editors.
